Production — crafting, time, collection

Production is the second half of the economy. After you've built a building, the processing of raw materials into something more valuable begins. Here you'll find out: what can be crafted?, how long does it take? and how to pick up the finished product?

What production is

Production buildings stand on the hexes you have captured and turn one resource into another. The basic scheme is always the same:

  • Raw materials — wood, ore, wheat, water, energy.
  • Product — boards, steel, flour, bread, beer, steel sheets, beds, etc.

Production chains

There are complex and simple production chains; here are some examples:

Timber → furniture
  • Sawmill. 2 wood (24 h) → 4 boards.
  • Workshop. 2 steel + 5 boards (24 h) → 1 barrel; 2 copper plates → 2 copper wires; 2 steel + 6 boards (3 d) → 1 bed.
Grain → bakery
  • Mill. 2 wheat (2 h) → 1 flour.
  • Bakery. 3 water + 2 flour (3 h) → 3 bread.
Hops → drinks
  • Brewery. 3 water + 1 hop (12 h) → 1 beer.

How long does it take

Every production building has a production speed and a storage capacity.

  • Production takes anywhere from a few minutes to several days.
  • If storage runs out, production stops.
  • Upgrades may increase speed, capacity, or unlock new options — the exact effect depends on the building.

How to collect

Select the building, find information about the finished products, and click the icon to collect them.

How to upgrade

In the same menu click "Upgrade". Upgrading a building may require resources.

Workers

You can assign settlers or engineers to a building. Settlers do the work slowly and inefficiently; engineers — on the contrary, well. More engineers — the faster the product accumulates. Productivity details are in the building's own menu.
