Mayor and Taxes

Every month, taxes are deducted for resources collected in the sector.
The sector's mayor receives the taxes.
To find out who the mayor is, click on the sector icon in the top left corner of the screen.

How are taxes calculated?

A player pays 8% of collected resources if the mayor belongs to their faction and 10% if to an enemy faction.
The calculated number of resources is always rounded up.
So if you collect only one energy per month, you will be charged 1 energy.
If you collect 10 units, you will also be charged 1 unit (10 * 0.1 = 1).

How to become a mayor?

The mayor is elected on the first day of each month before the tax payment.
To become a mayor, you need to have the highest number of points in the sector.
Points are awarded as follows:
1 point for an empty captured territory
10 points for a captured territory with a building
The current number of points is displayed above the sector name in the top left corner.
